浙江大学航空航天学院永谦讲座教授、美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学(Penn State Univ.)工学院John L. and Genevieve H. McCain chair in engineering杨威迦教授受邀从2009年1月起担任美国工程名校Georgia Institute of Technology航空系(Aerospace Engineering)系主任。Georgia Tech.的工学院和航空系都在全美排名前5位。

        杨威迦教授是美国航空航天学会(AIAA)和机械工程师学会(ASME) Fellow，现担任AIAA Journal of Propulsion and Power主编。
